Approccio Naturopatico allo studio della depressione: squilibri biochimici e dinamiche psicosociali a confronto

Abstract
Scopo della seguente trattazione è una descrizione approfondita della sintomatologia depressiva, qui intesa come l’espressione di uno squilibrio che coinvolge corpo e mente nella multidimensionalità della vita biologica, psicologica e sociale. L’indagine delle possibili cause cui è riconducibile la genesi del disturbo, spazierà quindi dai rigidi assunti della medicina ufficiale, improntata esclusivamente alla cura della patologia, alla poliedricità dell’approccio naturopatico, che non solo adotta metodi finalizzati al recupero della condizione di benessere, ma insegna anche a prevenire ogni eventuale stato di malessere, favorendo l’assimilazione e l’applicazione di sane e valide regole di vita.
L’attenzione sarà pertanto rivolta, nel rispetto di entrambe le prospettive d’osservazione, all’analisi dettagliata dei diversi fattori eziologici che, mediante il loro contributo isolato o congiunto, sono potenzialmente all’origine del disagio. Saranno quindi oggetto di studio i seguenti aspetti:
- Il cervello e i neurotrasmettitori: squilibri biochimici e tono dell’umore
- L’intestino tra corpo e mente: una rivisitazione della depressione alla luce del “secondo cervello”
- Alimentazione e nutrizione: cibo per il corpo, cibo per l’anima
- Stili alimentari e influenze psicosociali.
L’obbiettivo finale della trattazione è quello di favorire una comprensione più profonda del sintomo depressivo: se è vero che i fenomeni mentali nascono dal cervello, è altrettanto vero che sarà comunque la complessità dell’esperienza soggettiva a modellarli, in una continua interazione mente-corpo-ambiente che rende ogni essere umano unico e degno di un’attenzione a lui interamente dedicata.
