Abstract

Partendo dal concetto di “Nutrizione” come scienza che studia gli effetti legati all‟impatto dei nutrienti sulle componenti strutturali e funzionali dell‟organismo, determinandone i fabbisogni e di “Alimentazione naturale” secondo il Naturopata intesa come concezione di sinergia dei vari nutrienti amplificandone le caratteristiche nutrizionali dei vari singoli componenti, ponendosi come obbiettivo fornire all‟organismo tutti i nutrienti necessari nella forma più efficace ed assimilabile, viene naturale introdurre anche alcuni degli spetti principali legati alla malnutrizione, alla sua diffusione, e alle conseguenze a cui essa può portare, quando non sono soddisfatte le esigenze nutritive, qualitative e quantitative di un organismo nel tempo (squilibrio per eccesso o per difetto, quest‟ultimo diffuso soprattutto nei paesi più poveri). Il corpo è predisposto alle infezioni, deprimendo l‟appetito e creando un malassorbimento dei principi nutritivi (carenza vitaminica, deficienza ferrica).

Le fibre naturali costituisco uno tra gli alimenti più importanti per il benessere del nostro organismo, grazie ai loro costituenti, le loro propietà e gli effetti fisiologici sul nostro metabolismo, costituiscono un agente protettivo verso le malattie del sistema cardio circolatorio legati alla loro azione ipocolesterolenizzante, costituiscono inoltre una riduzione del rischio di ammalarsi di diabete, e la loro assunzione può indurre ad una significativa riduzione del colesterolo ematico.

L‟avena, cereale ricco di proteine e lipidi, è molto nutriente, ha un‟azione lassativa ed è poco utilizzata nell‟alimentazione umana. Costituisce una potenziale prevenzione per le malattie cardiovascolari. Nell‟avena sono presenti alcuni elementi antiossidanti (Vitamia E, acidi fenolici, avenatramide, flavonoidi, acido fitico). Alcuni rimedi naturali sono molto efficaci contro la stipsi ad es. il contenuto di mucillaggini (malva, lino), oli essenziali (anice, menta), tannini (amamelide), saponine (liquirizia) e antrachinoni (frangola), hanno un impiego terapeutico legato all‟apparato gastrointestinale.
